BABY BANK

Did you know that we have a Baby Bank at Holy Trinity?

THE BABY BANK AT HOLY TRINITY YEOVIL

This a wonderful initiative started by Maria (above), who is part of the team. Maria has an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2021, she saw a need in the community and started the baby bank to support families with new-born babies. Since its beginning, the baby bank has provided essentials to 3 to 4 families weekly. If you do the maths, it’s quite clear it has a big impact on our community.

NO LONGER JUST FOR BABIES

Originally, the baby bank was helping families with new-born babies by providing necessities like nappies, baby clothes, etc. However, as word spread and the need in the community grew, we’re receiving requests from families with older children too. In fact, we've even had referrals from the local Health Visiting team, asking Maria for specific items for families in need.

IT HAS BECOME MUCH MORE

But the baby bank is much more than just giving out essential items. It has thrived into a supportive community where families can connect, share ideas, and have meaningful conversations. People who come to the baby bank don’t just walk away with things—they leave feeling heard, understood, and supported.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH GENEROUS DONATIONS FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU

It’s not just about receiving help—there’s also a special opportunity to give back by donating items that others need. Whether it's gently used baby clothes, toys, or essential supplies like nappies, every donation makes a real difference in the lives of local families.

EVERY ITEM IS A GIFT OF KINDNESS

to help create a community where people support each other in times of need. So, if you have baby items you don’t use, please consider giving them a second life through the baby bank.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference!

We believe that we are a community of people who are called to share God's boundless love, made known through Jesus Christ. This calling compels us to follow Christ's teachings, embody His example in our lives, and actively express this love and faith through our actions, relationships, and service within the broader community.

Safeguarding

The parish of Holy Trinity, Yeovil, prioritises safeguarding children, young people, and adults. We adhere to the House of Bishops’ guidance and policies, with our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages provide essential links and information, including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA), who supports our PSO. https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/diocese/safeguarding/

If you’re concerned about a child or adult being harmed or at risk, contact the DSA. For immediate safety concerns, contact the police and your local authority’s Children or Adults Services.
